Urban Realignment

Urban Realignment is a collection of both hand and digitally printed textiles designed for the context of upholstery, window treatments and wall tiles within interiors. This collection was inspired by industrial structures found within the rural and cityscape and urban textures as well as mid-century designers and artists, Lucienne Day, and John Piper. I wanted to focus on hard-wearing materials like cotton velvet, linen, wool, and slate that were tactile and could allow for the product to be passed down. This was achieved by designing contemporary prints that were in line with the aesthetic of mid-century modern and would not go out of style. The collection was designed for clients in a design background that appreciates tactile materials and mid-century design.
