Flo.

Flo is a wayfinding service that assists visitors in navigating exhibition spaces. It provides guests to the space with the ability to curate their visit to their needs. The service assists all, not limiting it to be seen as a disability aid but as a tool to take us away from our phones and explore in a new, bespoke way. Flo is needed because the curation of exhibition spaces are not considerate enough of the different sensory needs of neurodiverse individuals. Neurodiversity in society covers roughly 1 in 8 people where the other 7 still have differences and unique preferences. The service is designed to be a navigation tool provided by staff at the beginning of a visit, along with a welcome kiosk and reassurance point throughout your visit. As you progress through the gallery, there will be a reassurance point either on each floor or wing. This is to provide a space for visitors to physically check they are still on the right path, call for staff assistance and also change your current route. The service is meant to be as non-intrusive as possible so it doesn’t take away from the experience of viewing the art or installations.
