Charging Flock – Connecting with Nature

The aim of this project is to implement a joyful interactive experience to a train station in order to make a connection between the user, the station and with nature, preventing extinction of experience. The user helps shape the success of this project by creating their own energy and giving back to nature using a hand crank electricity generator allowing them to recharge their baaattery when in need! Charging Flock resembles a positive difference for people and nature by establishing a connection through both a fun representation of the environment and providing an energy source which can be used as a charging dock. The sheep itself is an ironic visual representation of busy commuters flocking and being herded to their next train. The purpose of this project is to bring awareness to current environmental issues in a friendly manner like that of which we see in design activism. I believe this form of informing users through humour to be most effective way to crank it up a notch! My approach is empowering people through giving them the opportunity to charge their devices when in need and creating an environmental proposal that boosts wellbeing through play whilst also handing over the responsibility from nature to our hands. Can a spark of electricity spark joy and is electricity the spark of life?
