Fauxteuil

‘Fauxteuil’ is a super durable, hydrophobic chair-mattress which fits seamlessly into the fast-paced festival experience. It’s designed with the intoxicated brain in mind making it easy to switch from chair to mattress in seconds when the user returns to their tent during the night. Currently many festival-goers buy cheap armchairs and mattresses every year and then leave them behind, contributing to 16,000 tonnes of post-festival waste going to landfill annually in the UK alone. Fauxteuil rental can be included in the festival ticket price and added to the RFID band, eliminating these wasteful purchases. Festival-goers are more likely to take public transport than drive if they have less equipment to carry, meaning Fauxteuil will be making a positive impact before the festivities even begin. It uses reclaimed materials such as PVC truck tarp and Polypropylene ‘corriboard’ election posters which are a problematic waste stream in Ireland.
